Welcome to the website of the Australia Japan Society of Western Australia (Inc)
Our mission is to promote mutual understanding between West Australian and Japanese people.
The Australia Japan Society of W.A welcomes anyone who is interested in participating in the Society's activities.
Please browse through our web site to learn more about our activities and how you too can join in on the fun! AJS committee members are all volunteers and we raise our own funds. AJS events varied and include business dinners and more casual, fun events and all events seek to aid the community and strengthen WA-Japanese relations. For example AJS WA grants a language prize to the best student in Japanese at Murdoch and UWA as well as offering small educational grants to those interested in pursuing Japan-related fields of endeavour.
AJS Logo

The AJSWA has adopted a logo which had the working title "flags" given to it by the artist Yuko Takahashi and was one of 4 that she prepared for the AJSWA. This was the logo that found the most popular support amongst the attendees at the AJSWA Autumn Function from all the logos received.
AJSWA means Business
We are currently canvassing support amongst the Australian and Japanese business communities for a series of events which are specifically tailored to the business community. We are investigating the holding of a series of Breakfast Seminars somewhere in the CBD. If you can help by donating a meeting space or sponsoring the cost of a breakfast or providing breakfast, please contact one of the Committee using one the contacts details on this website.
